NBA 2k21: Updates
Let’s start with the current gen update of the game, it is the 8th upgrade since the game launched on September 2020. This new update made changes to 2K Beach by adding new decorations to the game to go with the current season. The update also updated and improved the likeness of several NBA player. Concerning MyCareer mode, the patch notes have teased new events that should be coming to 2K Beach in the course of the coming weeks.
MyTeam has received the most updates with this new patch. Several issues with the Mystery tier in Domination have been fixed. The patch has also removed the duplicated attribute boosts for both Triangle and Post Coaches. A Win/Loss exploit that plagued Unlimited as well as other multiplayer modes has been fixed. Visual improvements have been made to Dark Matter in some of the game’s menus. Finally, the patch prepares the game to receive future seasons of MyTeam.
The next gen update has mostly made improvements to the likeness and facial animations of several players; it also made visual improvements to Dark Matter in MyTeam. The players who received likeness updates are Darius Bazley, Tyler Bey, Hamidou Diallo, Jahmi’us Ramsey, Domantas Sabonis, Luka Samanic, Landry Shamet and Rayjon Tucker. Finally, the patch resolves a rare issue that occurred if starting a save from the offseason. The patch has also made changes to MyTeam, however, they are the same as in the current gen version of the game.
Lastly, we will cover the latest players’ ratings updates that coincided with the NBA Trade Deadline. Many players have been affected by this update, and with the trades that occurred recently in the NBA, the balance of power will change for several teams depending on the fate of the players they bought or let go. Players like Karl-Anthony Towns have lost 2 points to their overall rating while others like Anthony Edwards have gained 3.
